group exercise: chocolate meditation
In this group exercise, group members were taught to mindfully eat a piece of chocolate. this is a classic mindfulness exercse. many were surprised by how much pleasure one piece of chocolate gave them. others commented that if they always ate like that, they would never overeat. changing our relationship with these trigger foods will improve mindless eating.
